Outmatched by JasonEngle Outmatched by JasonEngle
Interior art from the Dungeons and Dragons sourcebook "The Plane Below: Secrets of the elemental chaos".
Now that title has got to be one of the longest I've ever heard, even by the standards of D&D.

High quality archival prints of this image can be found here:

They need that one thing every one of these things has...the rediculously op'ed sword that kills anything easilly...they forgot to take a right in the cave, instead took a left and this happened.

What made them think they could take on Demogorgon on his own plane? Must be a suicide mission.

The king of demons Demogorgon doesn't tend to leave survivors

Either a harsh roll of the dice or a cruel DM

This can't possibly end well for the adventurers, even if they manage to slay the beast. The creature has a otherworldly feel, not just in appearance either, the blending makes it difficult in some places to tell where one part ends and the other begins. The elf's garb isn't the typical magi style either, looks much more personalize and unique, she even looks different from the typical elf, being older and more sage like.

The hellish landscape, while a tad generic is still nice, hard to go wrong with deformed blades after all. All in all a very well made piece, faithful to the source material and honestly quite menacing, honestly, the elf is about to get crushed/chopped/devoured and the dwarf is at least unconscious. Well done, keep it up.
