Oh, my gosh! This is almost perfect as a portrait of my own L5R character, Ikoma Kaze. I would very much like to use this has his official character portrait, if that is okay with you. (I would of course tell my fellow gamers who painted it.)
However, since Kaze's best friend is a Dragon, would it be all right if--for the purposes of my game only, and not to be posted anywhere but in the campaign's blog on LiveJournal--I cropped it so that I could say that the banner is Mantis, instead? I would of course link back to the original.
And if you'd prefer I did not do either of these things, that is okay. I don't want to just gank your art--that's uncivilized.
Physics vs. Composition. Would the flag really have torn with the wave outward and not following the slicing motion, or did he slice it so fast that it didn't even overcome the wind resistance? I like the composition, and I'm totes cool with sacrificing accuracy if that's the case.
But if it's not the case, it's the most badass thing ever?
